EMDR Therapy in White Salmon, WA

Trauma-focused care at Gorge Therapy Group

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy for trauma. It helps your brain process distressing memories so they feel less intense and less in charge of your day-to-day life. EMDR is widely used for PTSD and trauma, and it can also help with anxiety and other experiences that feel “stuck.”

What to expect

EMDR starts with getting to know you and building skills to feel grounded. When you’re ready, your therapist guides you through short sets of bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, tapping or tones, while you briefly focus on a memory. You stay in control of the pace, and you can pause at any time.
